***I received a physical copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review***

My initial reaction of holy c*** was all you could get out of me for hours after staying up late to finish this amazing book and even now, it sums up my mental state pretty well! Dark and suspenseful, hilarious and quirky are not pairings you’d expect to mix well together, yet McCoy has done so effortlessly in this gripping novel that had me on the edge of my seat one minute and then giggling the next.

Bookworms that swelled from too much tea and howled when they didn’t have a novel in their hands (something uncannily relatable…) and clothes that moved of their own free will are just some of the things thrown in to make your day brighter. Then there are the soul wrenching moments (oh the unintentional pain from my pun!) that made me care so much about the protagonist Hailey – you can’t not like her, as Giselle her reluctant non-human friend comes to experience. The relationships she had with her family were genuine and then the ones she developed with Asher and Finn were brilliant.

The romances in this book are... dysfunctional to put it lightly! We have Asher who both loves and wants to kill Hailey, some of the time, which makes him act both creepy obsessive and romantic. (He is not a good guy, with fair reason considering his origins, but he proved himself when push came to shove (I’m just killing myself with these word choices *goes to grieve in corner*)

Then we also have Finn who is a womanizing douche controlled, some of the time, by more powerful douches intent on killing Hailey, which makes him act like an adorable idiot. Out of the two I honestly can’t say who I want her to end up with – though she is quite fine on her own. After that ending everything is up in the air burned to ashes anyway, along with my sanity.

For me the most obvious sign of a good book is one I want to re-read so it seems only fair to label Eerie an awesome book when I want to read it all over again immediately!

Eerie eBook CM McCoy Reviews

I absolute LOVED the book and couldn't put it down, It starts out rather sweet with Holly and Hailey helping and step dancing at their Uncle Pix's Irish pub. Hailey has typical school issues related to a family tragedy with secrets;) Then Hailey's big sister Holly disappears & is found "shredded" , The book takes a decidedly darker turn with Hailey deciding to go to Bear Towne University to major in ParaScience. The book is like a young adult Harry Potter but better (IMHO). The secondary characters are AWESOME. A poltergeist that does hair and a Banshee with issues . The characters are complex & you never know who to root for . I couldn't decide who to root for Asher, an Envoy with heart or Fin who just can't make his mind up. I can't wait for book 2 which promises more surprises.
OMG Like wow!!
I can't even describe just how much I truly LOVED Eerie by the amazing C.M McCoy!
Not only is the cover beautiful and stunning but so is the story!
Hailey has always had really vivid dreams that seem real as in monsters coming alive from her nightmares and follow her into her life while she's awake!
After a night of working and dancing at her Uncles pub the girls get ready to head home and Holly takes the trash out after a few minutes Holly still hadn't returned even after Hailey called out to her.
Hailey went to investigate and found a severed foot inside Holly's shoe with no Holly to be found.
Eerie is well an eerie read that I loved!!
Eerie is full of suspense, Lies, and Romance, oh yeah almost forgot hot guys too!!
Eerie is most definitely a FIVE star read for me!
I can't wait for book two.
Seriously i'm not sure I can wait until its released.
If you haven't read Eerie yet then what the heck are you waiting for?
Go and one-click!

I found this book through Facebook. The teasers and the synopsis definitely had me interested. I was blown away about everything in this book. The writing was flawless and flowed organically. The characters were phenomenal and the settings were well described. I could see this being a movie. Hailey was a great protagonist and a superb point of view. I went through every emotion with her. Within the first twenty pages I was engrossed so much I had to gift some copies to friends and family. There are twist and turns, love affairs and friendships. It has a story and characters you just can't get out of ypur mind. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormal and paranormal romances.

I was given a book in exchange for an honest review free of persuasion from the author or anyone else affiliated with this book.

Asher is an Envoy obsessed with a human, Hailey, to be precise. A human that has to die to open the Aether and send the trapped Envoys home. When she was five, Hailey's parents were killed in a fire. That is when she first sees the Envoys. Now , as a teenager, they are in her nightmares. Soon Hailey's sister Holly is missing, and Hailey's already dark world gets even darker. There is so much in her life that is unknown to her. Is everyone keeping secrets to protect her or to just keep her in the dark?

It is a very unique tale. It is brave to write one of the main characters so unlikable. You risk losing your reader, however C.M. McCoy weaves the character of Ashton into the story so well that he is indispensable in this story. The characters are definitely dynamic, and the story is well paced. It is a book that keeps you interested, and it is hard to put down. I will absolutely be reading the next book in this series
